Start the conversation. Stop the stigma.
It’s one thing to set a goal in dollars.
It’s another to set a goal to save lives.
That’s our goal - to save the lives of our fathers and mothers, husbands and wives, sisters and brothers - and our children.
Please donate today to help us raise $7,500.
Starting compassionate conversations
Our focus is dignity and compassion. Our goals are to save lives, for people to be treated with empathy, and to honor those we have lost. We demand treatment upon demand for those with or without resources. We are motivated to create change. We are angry with the current systems. We are heartbroken to have lost so many dear friends and loved ones.
The time to stand up and demand something new is now!
Our Work
At Agape we are on the frontlines of combatting the stigma around addiction. Whether it’s by advocating in the Maine legislature or by providing funds to those in need, our Team is committed to helping those who need it.
Dignity is a non-profit advocacy group committed to bringing dignity to people who are in recovery or those actively using drugs and alcohol. We provide emergency funding for recovery housing and life-saving medications to assist individuals at a critical point in their lives. We are equally committed to supporting folks and communities affected by this public health crisis. Our objectives are to start the conversations around substance use in a way that encourages compassionate listening, education, and participation in individual and statewide policy changes.
As a program of Agape Inc, we are advocating for a philosophical change that includes harm reduction strategies including amnesty, decriminalization, access to naloxone and medication-assisted treatment, needle exchange programs, and overdose prevention sites.

#Dignity Emergency Fund
Our Emergency Fund is designed for individuals who have a substance use disorder. The fund helps provide temporary sober living arrangements, and/or access to medication-assisted treatment and naloxone. Please reach out to access or donate today to the Emergency Fund.

“I have seen some of our clients start crying when they realize that someone cares enough to help them with money for that first week until they return to work and re-engage in the recovery community.”—
